yeah and you can pull water out of the air you brethe like out of the puppet master eposide. but at the same time earth is for the crash, bash, and building! in return water is made up of elements of air, hydrogen and oxygen. all life requires air to survive. |

But we are talking about the avatar universe. If they had the same understanding of the elements as we do, or maybe even if their elements are the same are ours then perhaps air would be the strongest, but it's differnt in the Avatar world. The elements are treated differently in their uses, and the one that is the strongest in the way that it is used is water.

yah it is. it is the bestest ever and can't be beat.look at it this way wind can't beat earth except by eroding which take a very long time. water couldmturn earth into mud but only some kinds of earth can't. with fire PLEASE!!!!

ok look at it this way wind can't beat earth except by eroding which takes a very long time. water could turn earth into mud but only some kinds of earth can't and with fire the earth wouldn't be effected

However, water is stronger in its flexability. It could monuver around the rock in order to hit the bender, or cover the rock, freez it , and make it in axccessable to the bender.
Water is the best.

Just because a boulder is covered in ice, doesn't mean that an earth bender can't bend it. Remember the episode titled "Jet". Katara and Aang were bending water that was underground. so how is bending water (or ice) covered earth any different?

true but earth is better. you can go under ground for a surprise attack on your opponent and other neat stuff.

Well that could only be done during a full moon, so one can't rely on it very well. However if one is to look at this through a biological point of view, blood has iron in it; plus there are other types of metals within the human body other than iron. However, the human body is 80-90% water. Though is maybe extremely difficult for an earth-bender to bend a human body, if that bender was able to do it, they would be much stronger than any water-bender (from a mathematical perspective). |

But there isn't enough iron, and earth benders don't even know about it. Why would they even try the impossible task of blood bending if they don't have any clue they might be able to do it.
And anouther thing about blood bending, it can only be done by an old woman during the full moon, Katara or anouther water bender may be able to use it other times. She just refuses to try.
And covering the boulder in ice at least gives the waterbender partial control over the rock, but if she knocked down the bender by making the water go around the boulder then the rock would fall, useless. Rock may be flashy, but water will always slip in the cracks, find a weakness and win.

with earth it is hard to make shapes out of it like when a earthbender stomps on the ground and brings up a slab of rock it is a random shape
