I would think he would, throufg predictions of how the story turns out; they don't want to disappoint the children/people do they??? hey they did when jet died and when Zuko went back to the fire naiton in season 2 , why wouldnt they let us down now?? |

You're forgetting that if Katara knew about this she would dump him so he could master it, if they are even together. I've said this before, and i'll say it again : Aang will start his finale battle with Ozai, Ozai will start to win and the comet will arrive so Ozai will give the whole "You've lost, You've failed" speech, Aang will have some kind of flash back bit where he thinks of everyone who's depending on him, he'll start to glow and defeat the firelord in an all out attack in a state more powerful than we've seen, but in the end it will kill him.
It is an alfull clique but it's what's going to happen.

the point that poeple think aang will die, i doubt he will, but i hav my doubts, maybe he'll come close.

He would die if this show wasn't for kids. Its really how it should end, but won't. He's a stand alone charecter and would be better fitted for a tragic death than a complicated life later. Plus it would fit with the whole "last airbender" bit. All good legends end in the hero's heroic death or his utter exiled failure.

not entirely true, at least in my opinion. People already see Aang as a hero because hes the Avatar, but defeting the firelord would be even more heroic
