That was their idea at the start, but this is book 3.. I think they have different ideas now..... There wil be other airbenders, Aang's kids...

Of course there WILL be more air bender once Aang marrys and has kids.  And besides the next avatar needs to know air bending  who think the Air nomads were mean? I think that a little because they took kids from their parents some time after birth.  |

there might not be anymore air nomads. but like the ppl in the swamp were water benders, and those firebenders that remind me of the aztecs. i think there will be another unknown group of airbenders

Well here is the thing in there travels they heard nothing about other airbenders. And if they are nomads, they would likely at least be stories of wondering airbenders. As far as a new air nation i doubt it but i wouldn't but it past the blending of the nations (air-water, earth-fire,etc benders) look at aang and katara and zuko and his earth kingdom love.

Well the title may mean he is the only one thatr knows how to bend air . technically u dont need to be borned from someone who does a type of bending to inherite cuz like the story says firebenders learned it from the dragons, air nomads from flying bisons and earth from molebadgers. So there could be a new group of airbenders. all they have to do is learn. plus the next avatar does not need to learn airbending because aang is the last avatar from what Roku said.

Oh yea plus where do the kids come from i mean they're monks and nuns = no sex so there must be other airbenders around and they probably got kids from somewhere...

the thing that disturbs me and aang finds a non air nomad to marry is that the pure blood of the air nomads wont be pure
he will be breeding with another person from another nation
so ya if he does marry katara (i hope not) then there kids will be half water tribe half air nomad. so the pure blood wont exist anymore

also if they are gonna be more airbenders aangs kids will have to resort to incest since aang is the only airbender left
