Fire Nation Prison

I was anger at her, which would help me act, but she needed to tell me. Knowing her she is just gonna wing it. I sighed as she roped me up for the act.

She had no idea how bad that was. I told her we needed to ask around to see what was worth prison. She said no it would give us away.

I thought as are pace quickened, Oh no I am right!

The prison came into sight.

Okay.. this will be long... so here we go! If someone wants to be En rang or the general tell me and you can do their thoughts when the story gets to them. If not then Kataang and I can just make them talk (and we won't get insight into their thoughts).

The prison was frightening and majestic at the same time. The walls towered over us as we approached. I tried to take in all I could while remaining unsuspicious. Guards flanked all exits that I could see, but few patrolled the walls. Towers were positioned at the corners so that the whole prison would be viewable.

I swallowed hard.

I looked down at Jin, trying to see how she was taking in our situation. She was a smart girl, so I had no doubt she realized one thing for sure.

It was too late to turn back.

I kept my breath slow and calm even though I wasn't. Kai thought of me more then what i am but i could not let her down not this time.

As we walked up i saw the prison. It looked like a fortruss to me not a small minor prison. it made me scared but also excited for some reason maybe cause this will all be over soon.Or so I thought.

We walked, me grasping her ropes tightly, until the rough voice of the main guard made us stop in our tracks.

"Hault! Who goes there?"

Breathing slowly I walked toward him again, kicking Jin to make it realisitic and spoke in a voice as low as I could muster.

"Officer 546 from unit 26. I have a prisoner for custody."

He looked at me skeptically, making my heart race beneath the disguise.

"What's her crime?"

"I'm not authorized to say, sir."

I felt Jin stiffened at my feet. I waited to see if the officer would buy my bluff.

When we walked up to a the main guard, I was scared. But when she kicked me in the butt, I knew we would fool him until Kai said something. She said,"I'm not authorized to say, sir."

I stiffened, She just blew it. I knew we were done. But maybe not the guard told us to follow him.

I had a feeling, not a good one, that we were headed for a trap.

The guard accepted my bluff without complaint.

We were in trouble.

I had no doubt that Jin figured out this fact too. We were escorted into the prison. Guards didn't give us half a glance, which I was thankful for. One guard was easy to take down, but 10 or 20? Not so much.

Lots of twisting corriders and cells later, we arrived at a small conference room.

"Stay here. General Shang will arrive here soon."

He left and the door slammed, locked behind him. Leaning to Jin, I untied her binding ropes.

"Make sure your weapons are easy to access. We may be in for the fight of our life."

I could not help but grin at that. I loved to fight. I put my weapons at my sides reading myself for battle. I was scared but I had to stay strong.

Then a door in the back opened and some man came out of the back. He looked like a powerful man. I suddenly became weak like I was goin' to fall. Kai must have felt like that too, because her legs started shaken.

A tall man, several inches taller than me, entered the room. He was adorned in heavy armour that glistened even in the poor lighting the room offered. He had the trademark sideburns of the fire nation.

But the thing that scared me the most was his eyes.

They were gold, not unique to firebenders, but they held a type of cruelty I hadn't seen before. Something that made my legs shake and my heart race in a bad way.

Even though I kept my focus on the General, I couldn't help but notice the team of officers that lined up behind him. A quick glance told me that there were more than Jin and I could take.

I put my hand on Jin shoulder, letting her know to hold her attack for now. Maybe, just maybe, my bad bluffing skills that got us into this situation could get us out of it too.

The General signaled towards one of the officers to lock the door. He walked toward us until he was merely four feet away. Grinning in a way that made me shiver, he spoke in a mocking growl.

"Who do we have here?"

When Kai put her hand on my shoulder I could guess, she had a plan. I was thinkin' how i could take them out fast. But I stopped and payed attention when The general said,"who do we have here?"

I was gonna ask for merce which is not me at all. But out of the corner of my eye, I saw one of the guys were shorter, my age looking. He looked at me and i felt my face get hot. How could I like firenation? The boy smiled quickly back at me. I felt my heart pick up.

Then without reason the boy stepped out,"Father, they're are just women. Show some mercy."

I could not believe my ears. The boy just said father! But still, he was helping.

A boy, around Jin's age, stepped up and addressed the General as father.

"Father, they are just women. Show some mercy."

A little shocked, and offended at the sexist comment, I held my tongue. It was during that time that I noticed Jin blushing next to me. Her eyes were locked on the fire nation boy, and the boy was just as focused on her. Something transpired between the general's son and Jin through a glance that made him want to help us.

Something that I could take advantage of.

"Women who had the nerve to try and sneak into this prison," he said, his gaze still trained on us. "Now tell me, why are you here?"

I took off my helmet, so I could look the General in the eye when I spoke.

"To rescue a friend of ours, and if you don't mind we are running on a tight schedule."

While he laughed, I tapped Jin on the shoulder in acknowledgement that the time to fight would be soon. I reached for my Sai slowly. My gripped tightened around the familar handle as the General stopped laughing.

"Now!"

Jin and I exploded into action.

I already had my sword out before she could even move. I was always prepared. The general was a chicken and he let his guards try to take us down first. I only nock guys out, I hate to kill unless i've got to. Kai was doin' great were she was so i started water bending the water to her for her to use.

The boy, unkown name, came right at me but in some strange way like he was going to start protecting me. The boy turn to Kai to fight so i just went back to what i was doing hoping Kai would not kill him.

"Kai," I yelled,"we need to get out of here!" Then the boy suddenly understood. We had to get out. As we fought the men I could not help but wonder, Wht is his name?

Jin leapt into battle before I could move, making me shine with pride at her ability. She moved to the left, I to the right, and the General scurried to the back of the room, leaving his cronies to take us on.

Sai in my hand, I advanced on the nearest group of soldiers. They grabbed at their weapons, but I was too quick. I twisted and dodged their attacks and hit them with some blows of my own. They quickly realized that I was too good in close combat, and backed up to deliver some firebending blows.

The adrenaline in me wanted to face the challenge, but somewhere in the back of my mind I knew my Sai could not beat fire..

But Jin had my back, and sent me water to bend with in a fluid motion. Reminding myself to thank her later, I used the water to block the oncoming fire. Almost effortless it turned into a whip. Knocking out the group of officers near me.

I moved on to the next set, a grin painted my face. The battle roared, fire flew, and water sizzled as it evaporated. It wasn't long before I came face to face with a familar face.

The General's son.

He looked at me warily, either from fear or relunctance to fight, I'll never know. We faced off, and he matched me blow for blow at first. I was impressed.

"Kai! we need to get out of here!"

The sound of Jin's voice made the boy stop. He looked at me and opened his mouth to say something, but before he could get any words out I was pinned to the ground, a dagger licking at my throat.

"Get the other one," the general growled at his son. The boy walked over and relunctantly tied up Jin, who was restrained by several soldiers.

I tried to get a glimpse of her face, to see if she was unharmed, but the general kept the dagger to my throat threateningly.

"Short schedule? I can arrange immediate action," he said, slicing my throat ever so slightly, drawing a red line across my adam's apple.
