I am not a zutarian or a kataangian for that matter ( i do not ship at all), but here's a story about zutara:
It was six-thirty A.M. as Katara watched the sunrise and the waves hit against the boat.
Zuko, now a member of the group, went up to her and sat down next to her, saying, "Hey Katara, I just wanted to...apoligize for my behavior in the past...but I'm good now, I promise!"
Katara told him, "You'd better get out of here before I waterbend at you."
Zuko sighed, and said, "Here...maybe this will help..."
He leaned over to kiss her, but it was then that Aang came though the door to see the two next to each other, and saying loudly, "AHH! You guys-"
Zuko backed away immedietaly, seeing Aang angry at him. "Please, I don't want any trouble, just a friendship..."
Aang asked madly, "Then why'd you try and kiss Katara?!"
Zuko replied, thinking, "Well...I'm sorry! Please, if we can just be friends..."
"NO!" Aang said, holding his staff up.
Katara said, "Please, Aang...I've never seen you this way...is something troubling you?"
Aang replied, pointing at Zuko, "That's the problem! Ever since Zuko's joined, he's been trying to get at you, Katara, and you can't fall for it!"
Katara responded, "Actually...I kinda like it...he's been very nice to me the past week..."
Aang, at first, got even more angry, but then accepted what was happening and sighed sadly.
"Well," he began, "I guess that if you two really want to be together...there's nothing I can do about it..."
Katara said, "I'm sorry Aang...I-"
"No," Aang interrupted, "it's ok..."
Zuko and Katara, completely silent, watched as Aang left the deck and closed the door shut.
Zuko went over to Katara and said, "I can't do this...we can't be together...I'm aware that you two obviously have a relationship...so..."
Katara began to cry/sob, and then leaned over and kissed him.
After they were finished, Zuko asked, "But why...?"
Katara responded, "It doesn't matter what Aang - or anyone else - thinks. You and me were meant to be together."
Zuko smiled as they sat next to each other and watched the sunset.
How was that?
