Aang felt scared to see her again. He started to walk back but noticed it was rude to do so. Huan-Yue motioned Aang to come sit by her. At first he thought ‘’no way’’ but that feeling inside of him, made him go toward her.
“Aang I cannot take it any longer. I don’t care what the others think you need to know.” said Huan-Yue. ‘Take what anymore’ thought Aang. Huan-Yue cleared her throat and began to speak again.
‘’Aang I’m your…sister. I was never to tell you but the pain you have, shows me that…’’sigh’’ Aang I’m your older sister.’’ Aang’s eyes grew larger than ever. With the shock of the news Aang got up and shook his head back and forth in astonishment.
“But…that means I have family…and…there are still air benders…this is great!’’ said Aang. Huan-Yue just smiled.
‘’No Aang…there are no more Air benders. You are truly, the only Airbender alive.” Said Aang’s sister. This made him feel empty and lost inside. “Aang the only reason I’m here right now is to give you hope, and understanding of your past.” She sighed and got up off the fountain’s edge and started to circle around it. “And the reason there are no more air benders is because of that war. Aang I’m not alive…I’m died… I died fighting the fire benders. At the time I didn’t know that you left from your temple. I thought you were ok…safe, but I soon found out that every air temple in the world was being attacked. After I found that out I wanted to go over to your temple and save you. But as that thought entered my mind I wasn’t paying attention to what was around me. Then before I knew it I was hit so hard on the head that I collapsed on the ground and never woke again.” Aang found this scary to know someone from his past that he never got to meet. His sister soon sat back down of where she was sitting before. Aang then to sat by her side.
“Oh Aang I know how it is…that you have no family. But wait a second.”Said Aang’s sister. She got up pacing back and forth. She was counting her fingers over and over, and was mumbling names that lead into many generations of his past…of his people. She than spoke in a tone, as like she wanted someone to leave…now. “Aang I’m sorry about this but you need to leave. I’m trying to figure out something.”
Aang did as he was asked. He was entering the real world again. He started to feel a sharp pain on his side. He felt warmth all around him…but it was too hot. His eyes where heavy and hard to open all he wanted to do was sleep and think. But he knew his friends were worried about him so in all his strength he opened his eyes…slowly. As he did he saw flashes of life and people all around him?
Finally he opened his eyes and started to get up but he couldn’t someone with a gentle touch was holding him down. He looked around and Sokka was the one keeping him from getting up. Everyone’s faces looked so worried. Aang saw the look on Katara’s face with was about to make him cry. All he could do was sit up and hug Katara. He began to cry…then soon she did to. They were crying into each other’s arms. Zuko placed his hand on Aang back. Aang just cried…and started to talk.
“Katara…I have been having these dreams of girl. And now when I fall like I just did, I speak to her in the spirit world. I don’t know how to explain it but, Katara this girl…I found out that…she’s my sister.” said Aang, with tears still on his face. Katara looked so shock that she might fall.
“That’s great Aang!” said Katara. “What’s her name?”
“Her name is Huan-Yue. That means ‘one of full joy.’ She is my sister that I was never allowed to meet in my life because I’m the avatar.” Everyone around Aang where all now listening to him, the news he was sharing was shocking to know.
