In the Eyes of the Other Airbender (Part 3)
written by: Keoshiwarrior376
Morning came as it did. Then sun was shining bright and the birds were singing their songs of joy. The day was like any other day for me. That’s what Aang thought when he was up and moving around the temple until…he saw ‘’her’’ wondering around the temple. He started to chase her but the closer he got to her, the further she was. Was she even there? Or was he going in sane? He couldn’t take this, so he ran as fast he could back to the camp. In the next few seconds he was there. Out of breath and his heart beating like crazy, Aang finally got to the camp and sat by a large rock and sat there with his eyes closed. Zuko was up already and saw that Aang was on the log with eyes closed. He sat by Aang and asked ‘’what was wrong.’’ Aang opened his and glared at him. It wasn’t a nice glare either but all Zuko could tell was that Aang was…scared? Aang got up and walked away from Zuko muttering under his breath, ‘’It can’t be her. She isn’t here. Oh why, oh why is this happening to me.” Zuko got up following after Aang careful just in case. Aang walked over to the same wall way where was found on the floor and sat there. Zuko was around the corner when he sat down. For the next few minutes Zuko sat there watching over him to make sure he was alright.
He sat there still has a tree on the floor. His eyes where closed shut he wanted it to all end. As Aang thought this to himself, he also was listening for the girl but there was no luck she would be coming back. The temple was all silent now he can rest and try to think of what is happening. Aang again closed his eyes and then started to go into mediation. Zuko could see now that he was fine…for now, so he tipped toed back to the fire. Katara was there waiting for Zuko at the fountain. Zuko walked passed her with knowing she was there. Katara stared at him like some child. Then sadly he noticed that she was there so her turned around.
“So Zuko do you mind telling me where you where?” said Katara in a mothering way. Zuko stared right back at her and did not answer. “Remember are little talk when you joined our team Zuko?” He frowned, sadly he did. Everyone there was so kind to him and Katara was just so cold hearted to him. She didn’t even know him that well and she still judged him. “Good because like I said before you harm Aang I will make sure you destiny will end permanently.’’ With those last words of cold, she walked off into the distance.
Zuko couldn’t believe it! Katara was accusing him for what happened to Aang yesterday. This was just outrageous! The morning stared to become the afternoon and everyone was up. As everyone started to eat lunch Zuko ran off to see how Aang was. He walked down the long narrow halls and ran up the stairs until he got to here he need to go. Zuko turned the corner and there was Aang still mediating. Zuko didn’t want to be rude but he need to help him in a way. Zuko careful walked up to Aang and he tapped Aang on the shoulder. Aang opened his eyes and got up.
“How did you find me Zuko?” asked Aang curiously.
“Well this morning I followed you here after what happened down by the campsite…I just wanted to make sure you where alright.” answered Zuko in a conserving and thoughtful way. Aang just stared him down like some bad animal.
“Zuko you should know by now that nothing is alright.” After that remark Aang told Zuko what had all happened. Zuko stood there still trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together.
“Aang have you ever thought of asking maybe the other avatars of who this girl is?” replied Zuko. Actually no, He had never had thought about it…not even once. The two of them walked back to the camp to have lunch. Aang sat on the floor eating in silents. He was thinking how he could somehow contact them all? But what if they didn’t answer? Questions filled his mind after eating Aang got up and started walking over to appa. Walking toward appa felt like a million miles away. Everything around him started to turn dark and blurry. He started to turn right then a sharp left. He kept on walking and walking until darkness covered his eyes. The next things he felt was his body hitting the floor hard then he could feel his body be picked up and sat upon something soft.
The next sight he saw was the temple, he was standing, and someone was sitting on the fountain… it was Her.
