You don't know that. Like you said the LEGEND says all the air nomads were wiped out, but they had to have been called Nomads for a reason. I mean Aang had been all over the world before he met Katara. If only the temples were hit, and it looks like they were, then a bunch of traveling "nomads" might of survived. I don't think any benders survived, because they probably would have fought once the temples were attacked, but for the normal nomads, they may have escaped the masacer. I mean the temples looked like they were just a place for benders to train and reflect, sure the other nomads probably visited, but i doubt they stayed and lived there.

Well i agree with you that it is a good chance that some air nomads sill survived. I think that that would be cool if Aang wasn't the last airbender. But that isn't what i was saying in that post. I was making a speculation like the others before me and how i think the guru plays into the story.

Right, sorry. I didn't mean to sound accusing. But i really don't think there are other airbenders. I think there will be aventually, but i think, for the moment, Aang is the last. I just think some of the nomads survived and blended into normal society is all.

They might be, but that would change the name of the show. But, yay, that would work. Maybe they are. Maybe thats why the society was created in the first place.
