Katara would totally know whats going on and have a "girl talk" with Toph, which would be extreamly akward because it is her brother. Although Toph would probably start the conversation out with "well my friend has this problem.."

.....already happened, was only good when Katara was yelling at her. A good cat fight depends on the emotions being expressed in the fighting, not the fighting itself.
