Theories about the finale

I don't know if all of you reading this known this or not, but the finale will be the length of 4 episodes, so basically 2 hours. Awesome isn't it?

Anyway! There is plenty of room to speculate what will happen... So I'm going to list some theories I've heard about.

1) Return of the Spirit World- No, this is not an episode title. Haha.. it would be a lame one. Anyways, we have some support that Aang will return to the spirit world. He has to confront his past lives about the loss of the Avatar State and Koh will "supposedly" return.

Personally I think this will happen in 318.

2) Iroh's Return- It seems probable that we may not see our beloved Iroh until the finale. Or at least her won't have a large part until the finale.

This is pure speculation and personally I would love it if Iroh came earlier

3) Kataang Confession- The shipper in me is making me post this theory. The Katara vs. Avatar State issue will come up again, and I have a feeling that with it comes the long waited kataang confession from BOTH of them

4) Next Firelord- Two main candidates are floating around to become the next firelord once Ozai is gone. Zuko and Iroh.

5) Ursa- If her fate and story doesn't come in an earlier episode it will most likely come in the finale.

6) Umm.. what other theories have you guys heard about? Post them as number 6 and so on and so forth.

The finale? It will air all at once I presume, so 2 hours straight of avatar, but there are 4 episodes within the finale..

So.. its like some of the hour long specials.. they are together but the episodes can stand alone.. sorta

to add to loose ends and theories by JFSOCC:
7. Sokka's love interest. Azula will be imprisoned in her stead, methinks.

8. boomie: when freed does something... weird, lettuce leaf.

9. Toph's parents. forced by confrontation to recognise her as not defenceless and weak.

10. Dai li: defeated, not disbanded, earth kingdom's walls will open freely.

11. North pole will send people to the south pole, to help them flourish as more than a tribe.

12. Sokka still has a lotus tile, so he will be initiated into the secret society that Iroh is also a part of.

13. the air temples will be rebuilt, but differently. the air nomads return (somehow)

14. the link with the spiritworld might be permanently severed, it might not.

15. people in the fire nation will dance again.

17. Tea will be a major export/import product

18. Aang masters the elements, instead of just learning them (quite different)

19. Sozan's comet is destroyed to prevent further returns in later generations.

20. out of the desert comes a scholar who learned immense amounts of knowledge and earned the friendship of a spirit that looks like a Giant Evil Bird.

21. katara will heal zuko's scar, with or without new special water.

22. Aang admits that the reason he can't go into the avatar state is not because his chakra is hurt, really, but because he hates the avatar state and what is needed to achieve it.

I noticed how a lot of your theories are things that would be shown in an epilogue? So I'm assuming you think their will be one?

I WANT one.. I just hope its not gonna be a lame or super corny ending.. The series needs to end the best way possible *cough* Kataang *cough* XD

I just posted a thread about this, but:

23: I think Zuko might die.... I don't know.. .all the talk about destiny and this and that. Plus, he has to prove himself worthy to Katara and Sokka (who doesn't really trust him either). I think he'll do it by sacrificing himself doing something heroic... maybe saving Aang from Ozai?

I think he will be welcomed truely by them in the finale, but does he have to die?

Zuko is the most likely candidate to become fire lord when the war is over. Iroh is another, but it depend if he dies in the finale (mentor characters alway die )

But if Zuko does die, it will be bitter irony when Sokka and Katara forgive him :/

Hmm...good point. Someone major's gonna die, I think. Iroh's a good candidate. They always kill the lovable guys.... that's true.
