It is likely that they send kids that show promise in air bending to the Temples. If this is the case they wouldn't take all kids. This would be simualar to a Military School.

I don't think so. I think air nomads, well travel you know. And i don't think they "marry" in the sense of the rest of the nations, i think they form lasting bonds but its more of a "free love" bit. I beleave kids that are born in the air nomads are raised until a point at the temples with women (i think it was north and west) and then sent to the seperate temples for training. However, i don't think they are forcably taken, i beleave this is just the way things were within the air nomads, and if a woman wanted to keep her child she could just stay at the temple. I've just came up with this from flash backs, it might not be true.
