the outside of comets are NOT pure hydrogen. comets may SOMETIMES contain frozen Hydrogen cyanide but thats only sometimes and not pure hydrogen like the above post said. srry but i get worked up over things like that.  |

Ok here is a little science (i know this is a cartoon). Things like comets and other astral bodys passing close enough to a star can cause solar Flares. Solar flares and stronger ratant forces form the sun. If the comet was passing close enough to the sun in its orbit it could be the reason for the stronger fire nation.
