The Staff's Rule Book as of 6/2/08 -
PROMOTIONS/DEMOTIONS
- A staff member cannot promote/demote another staff member or member without asking a Fire Lord on the forum first. He/she will decide whether it is appropriate for the person and situation.
- Firelords must also be trustworthy enough to be able to decide this, so no one except the main administrator may promote someone to Fire Lord.
BANNING
- A staff member that is 'Mid-leveled' or higher may choose whether or not to ban a member. Otherwise, eventhough every staff member is most likely trustworthy, no one else may ban anyone without permission from a Fire Lord.
THE RULES
- Eventhough the member's rules and the staff member's rules are very different, there is always one area that is always the same; no staff member are allowed to break any of the member's rules, which includes double posting, spamming, and advertising.
CREATING BOARDS/POSTING IN 'STAFF ONLY' AREAS
- Next to all staff members are allowed to create boards without asking permission, but if it is unappropriate/not necessary, it will be taken off.
- All staff members have the ability to post in 'staff only' areas, such as certain sub-boards and the main staff board.
TAKING ADVANTAGE OF YOUR POWERS
- If a staff member takes advantage of his/her powers, consequences can occur, depending on how much was taking advantage.
- Consequences can vary from simply a warning, to something such as a permanent demotion in which the member is no longer part of the staff.
- Abusing powers can include doing something on the forum without permission, banning members for an inappropriate reason, and deleting any needed information, knowing there are no backups of it.
