It's good in the middle in my opinion. When its on the left, it seems.. unbalanced..

me too, it makes it seem more welcoming, like
"hey welcome to the forum, feel free to chat with whomever you like just dont break the rules and youll be fine!! Have a good time!"
and it brings it out more
