While Aang and the gang struggle to get past the hot [day] and cold [night] desert with Sokka high on cactus juice and Appa missing (which makes it even harder, so they can't fly), Zuko and Iroh are attacked by the Rough Rhinos, some of Iroh's old 'friends'.
There is a small battle, but Zuko and Iroh manage to both escape.
Meanwhile, the gang manages to find a sand sailer, but to head in the wrong direction, soon to find the people who traded Appa in at Ba Sing Se, in which they are now headed.
