It seems impossible to tell, for me at least, but I would believe that his age would've been in kid years then (obviously).

Yay, what makes you so right?
I would say appa was a teenage Bison. You know, that time when puppies are sold, their big but their still puppies. And Aang looked like sevenish, but thats just my opinion.
