Weapons in general

In avatar they seem to be lacking some serious originality in weapons in the most recent episodes. The older episodes show much more creative weapons. An example is Jet, or that earth bender guy with the hammers. They could use something new.
Examples of new stuff:
-Ninja throwing stars
-Martel (if you don't know what it is then look up dictionary.com. It is also wielded by the turtle shell guy in Rurouni Kenshin)
-sycle
-axes
-traditional Japanese swords
-Halbeard
-Pickaxe
-galive
-Etc.
OR the could just have some different sort of martial arts.

What I was meaning is that weapons seem to be used over and over again. There doesn't seem to be a lot different in what they fight with.

Yeah, I agree, but avatar in general is lacking mental things they had in the first season.
