Maybe, but we have not seen even one male healer. And Aang has never tried. I mean i know he busy trying to save the world, but to not even try? Not to mention, if some girls could water bend and not heal, what would they do? I mean Katara said bending is a part of who she was, but Paku said women were forbidden from water bending. I mean would they try in secret, or just be outcasted amoung the tribe?

I guess, but what i mean is if their is no place for women water benders in the nothern tribe, and only a select number of water benders can heal i would guess it is only the women because other wise their would be many wome who would be out casted or unable to exist in normal society and an insufficient amount of healers.

well have we ever seen any proof that males can't? i mean they probably don't WANT to because they'd go home and their friends would be "like haha your a healer. can you help me with my bobo" and then everyone would start laughing. and lets face it thats probably what would happen unless they were hardened soldiers who had seen battle and known the value of a such skill. and remember most water benders aren't even aware they posses healing abilities (it took a number of years for katara to discover it by being burned by aang) and normally in the north pole most kids don't get burned by apprentice fire benders. so there are probably a bunch of ppl (including males) who can heal but just haven't faced a situation where they need to.

Yes, but we have no proof that they can heal, however there is some proof that they can't in that their are only women healers. Maybe they can heal, but based on the evidence we have so far i'm going to say no.

I'm just drawing conclusions from the evidence given me. Prehaps it is the male waterbenders minds that are cloudy, that is why they can not heal.

But lack of evidence is evidence in its own way to.

But lack of evidence is evidence in its own way to. you sound like my friend who goes around explaining how we are nothing and that we can do anything. he says stuff like "you could not hurt me for if you attacked with your troops they would not hurt me because nothing is something so your troops are nothing so they cannot affect me" or with the same *cough* logic *cough* stuff like "we are nothing, we are only something if we think so so if you thought you were flying hard enough you would actually fly" it gets rlly annoying.... especially on the bus...

That sounds annoying. Your friend sounds like someone who fancies themselves a philosopher when they really don't know that much. I don't mean it like that. What i mean is like if their are two rival theories, and one has more evidence than the other than it is that one that I will choose to follow until proven otherwise even though the lack of evidence for the other theory is the only distinguishable difference because there is very little evidence for the other theory.
As it goes with this, their is not much evidence of Male waterbenders in the series yet, so my only conclusion can be that they can't. You could try to change my mind with either new evidence or a new line of logic.
