i sort of agree. if she can stand up to azula after zuko left her behind (again). then she could handle the stress of wife to the fire lord.

And i'm not sure about the whole whife thing. I mean the fire loaed has to be a fire bender and if it is genetic then there may be laws against a fire lord takeing a nonbending whife. You never know.

Wasn't Ruko an avatar, not the Fire Lord? ANd there was no evidence that she definatly could not have been a bender. Yes there is a chance that Ursa is a non-bender but it is a small chance. She was surrounded by blue flame in the preveiw, it was a bit obvious.
And i'm not saying that it is impossible for Mai to be the wife, i'm just saying it might not be possible or it may be very difficult.

but does being a nonbender hav anything to do with being a good fire lady, or a wife at that matter? i dont think you hav to be anything so long as your loved by your spouse and your poeple.

Yes, but their may be Laws against that kind of Union to prevent the Royal line from going thin. And seeing as Zuko is overthrowing the current Ruler, and then seizing the thrown for himself, he might want to try and stick to the book for the rest of the prosses to keep the people from, I don't know, REBELLING?
