Chapter 4

"My name is Aang" he said.
My jaw dropped, this could not possibly be the previous avatar. there was only one avatar on the whole planet 1 living form at a time. Ever. That was the rule, that was the way it was the unbreakable law.
Apparently Katara saw my jaw drop and added on, "this was our son" it all made sense now. they had had a son so she named him Aang.
"Well that makes sense." I said as we made it out of the palace's prison....which is poorly named because it was about twenty miles away from the actual palace. We traveled a distance into the woods, but not very far because no one could really walk very far...maybe except for Toph and me. We at least made it to a stream so Katara and maybe Aang could feel better. They would be by water.
"Well does everyone want to go to sleep or do you want to hear a short story?" I asked.
"Well I'm pretty tiered, but I'd be fine with a little late night gossip" Toph said sounding interested.
"Okay well I guess I will tell you the story of the palace tomorrow then." I said
"Wait, I just said I wanted to hear it tonight!" she yelled.
"Alright fine" i said "oh and you probably already know most of it."
THE STORY
It had been 3 months since Aang had been struck with the green lightning from Ozia. this was a very slow and deadly attack. It was like venom. It would kill you slowly, usually in 6 months. Things were getting bad, Aang was healing but there was little hope.
3 more months had passed, Katara was pregnant. Aang was Losing the battle to the deadly fire attack.
2 more months passed. Katara was at the fire lords door, beging for him to heal Aang. Sokka distracted Azula, and here I was. She didn’t tell her father and hired an unimportant governor to cover it up.
BACK TO ME TALKING TO THEM
"And that I believe is how I am the avatar."
"Well I didn't know Sokka was....." Toph dragged off.
"Wow" Aang said. "So we're cousins?" he asked.
"Yes, and I am rightfully a waterbender." I said to him.
"Who told you this?" Sokka asked quietly.
"I heard it in snippets and just had to put it all together." I said then added, "Father" sarcastically.
"It was a mistake" Sokka said.
"I was a mistake...gee you've only known me for what an hour and already mom is winning the FAVORITE PARENT AWARD."
"You disrespectful little, little"
"Say it" I yelled, "SAY I AM JUST A LITTLE SPOILED BRAT THAT KNOWS NOTHING OF THE PAST" i yelled
"THAT'S ENOUGH" yelled Katara.
"DARN RIGHT," I yelled, "I'm going to bed." then I left and went of into the woods.
"She sure knows how to make a dramatic exit." Toph said.
"Azula's gotten to her, just like Ozia got to Azula." Sokka said, "She is no daughter of mine"
"Look, we all just need a little rest." Katara reasoned.
"You just have to jump in when the fun is coming don't you?" Toph asked, walking a little away from the group. a few seconds later the group heard her yell "OH GROUND YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH I HAVE MISSED YOU.....heheh no offence trees"
They all went of into separate area's and pretty soon I came back to the camp. I needed these people to help me become the avatar I was suppose to be. I needed them to help show my loyalty to my Grandfather. They were going to be the key to my survival for now.
