In the Eyes of the Other Airbender

Before I start I would like to thank noodle16 for helping me with the title. Thank you.
Waking up from one of those horrible dreams isn’t one of my favorite times during the night, thought Aang. He got up and walked over to the water fountain to cool off. The gaang was still at the western temple waiting and getting ready for the next time to fight. As Aang waterbended the water around, he thought what all things meant in his dream. All he could remember was a tall, beautiful girl walking around a fountain of water. He could remember that she looked scared but worried. This girl was very peaceful and kind to all around her. Then the terrible part went in flashes across his eyes of that girl fighting, and running. He could see flames all around her and he smelt a familiar smell. What did this dream mean? And why did it come to him again? Aang paced around the water fountain just like the girl did…trying to remember. He couldn’t fall asleep. So he stayed up longer and longer. Then finally exhaustion took over him so he went over to Appa and sat there, eyes haft closed. He was afraid to fall asleep, afraid to see the dream again. Before he knew it he fell asleep into a deep cloud of darkness.
Morning came and Aang could smell the sweet smell of breakfast. He got up to see suki making breakfast. Aang was surprised to see her do this. Last time he saw her make breakfast well… was as often as Toph makes food. Something fishy was going on. Aang got up and walked over to Suki and sat right next to her.
“Hey Suki, why are you up so early?” asked Aang with sleepiness still in his voice.
“Why is it bad to wake up in the morning?” answered Suki.
“Well you don’t usually get up the early.” said Aang. Suki’s face looked worried or really focused on something.
“Suki is there something wrong or something you want to tell me?” asked Aang with interest in his voice. Suki looked at Aang with in eyebrow raised up. Then her smile turned to a frown. After her big ‘’sigh’’ she answered.
“Oh Aang there is so much going on that you have no idea about.” said Suki haft hysterical.
“Please tell me so I can help you in anyway.” said Aang.
“Well first I should ask you why you have been up every night for the past week, just walking around the stupid fountain.” said suki with interest of knowing in the voice of hers. Aang’s face turned ghost white. How did she know that? Was he talking in his sleep, which she heard and woke up from?
Aang’s eyes just looked shocked.
“Oh that’s right you have no idea what I’m talking about.” Suki rolled her eyes and was playing stupid. “Aang I have been up every time you have so… Do you want to tell me? If you spill, I will tell you what’s on my mind too. Aang nodded with agreement.
“Well I have been having these dreams…about this girl and….’’ Before he knew it, Suki cut him off before he could finish.
“Oh so it’s a girl, oh I see…is it Katara? Asked Suki. Aang just gave her a funny look like ‘’I wasn’t fished yet ’’ kind of look. Aang continued…
“No it isn’t Katara, but it’s about this girl who looks so scared and worried about something that I don’t know. Then I see her fight and then she runs, it’s all a blur, but there are also flames everywhere. These dreams keep coming and I don’t know what to do about them.” said Aang breathless after telling her the dream. Suki looked shocked to what all he told her.
“Ok, I guess it’s my turn. Well you should know by now that Sokka really likes me right? Well I also have noticed that Toph really likes him too. I mean I love him and everything it’s just…I don’t want Toph to be miserable just because…” Aang interrupted Suki with one word “Love.” Suki nodded saying “Yea, it’s just so hard. How do you handle it Aang? Aang looked up at Suki with eyes of glass.
“Let’s just say it’s hard and well… when you are an avatar it’s hard to not love.” said Aang. Suki looked confused of what Aang said. Did that mean that he isn’t supposed to love? Aang nodded I guess Aang understood what I was thinking, thought Suki.
The Morning kept going on and everyone started to wake up and eat breakfast. Aang walked over to a quiet place in the temple. He was close by where everyone was, but far enough to relax.
Aang was sitting on a flat smooth rock and he was sitting there eyes closed and relaxing. His legs were crossed and he was well meditating. Aang was focusing on the girl from his dream; she looked about 16 years old. He sat there breathing in and out focusing on the girl until he heard Katara’s voice in the distance. Katara was asking where Aang was. Suki told Katara to not bug him right now that he was doing something important. He continues thinking in any way until darkness struck him. He felt his body hit the floor hard. He tried to move but he couldn’t. What was happening to him? Eyes slowly closed and Aang felt himself walk around In this strange ‘’dream.’’ What he saw was the girl from his dreams standing right in front of him, smiling. She stretched out her hand saying ‘’It’s good to see you again Aang.’’
