Uneniated anyway. Hey, have you ever looked at the entrance to the moving calender room in that spirit library? It looks kind of like a lotus. I wonder if their are any other lotus designs we missed...

I don't know, it looks awefully similar to the design outside of Sokka's Master's house that was definatly a lotus.

Maybe they'll run into a member who will cryptically reveal that he knows Iroh but won't say where he is to the infuriation of Zuko.

I believe the white lotus is an organization that originated to plan a ku to overthrow Ozi so Iro can take his rightfull place on the thrown. Some major people that i think are in it are Iro, Jong-Jong, Sokka's master, and Ursa. I think that the "southern raiders" will be about the white lotus and them planning their ku on the fire nation. this is when i think Iro will return; what do you think.

That sounds like a pretty good theory, but i don;t think its exactly right. The society doesn;t seem to focus on Iroh, i don't think its all about him. also, the society has more of an ancient fibe to it. all the old men involved, tradition and all that. i think its been around a while. It is not so far fetched that ursa is a part of it, and they may think Iroh would be a better Lord and they might help if he asked, but i don;t think thats why the group was created. Nor do i think Iroh wants the thrown, it think he just wants to get back to his tea shop.
Also, and i'm not saying this to insult your spelling (God knows i'm not one to talk) but i think its spelled "coup." It comes from a French phrase "coup de tout" (i know thats spelled wrong) and the p is silent. I think

Actually I believe it is spelled Coup D'Etat. Etat is french for State.
Oh, and in the show, during the episode "The serpents pass" you hear the old man by the pai-sho table saying that iroh "clings to the ancient ways". It can mean that the society is much older than Iroh. My theory is that the White lotus Society main purpose is to achieve order in the world, as it was before the war started. The lotus itself resembles balance, power and enlightenment; which can refer to their loyalty towards the Avatar and the avatar's duties.

i have also noticed something else white lotus members communicate very differently. they play the game pai sho and set pai sho tile in a diamond with one lotus tile in the middle

they talk just like anyone in the world. that game was used like a secret handshake or a code that Iroh used to reveal himself to the old man.

Yay, that was pretty awesome. I wonder if Zuko remebers how to set up the tiles.

that won't matter, Sokka already has a lotus tile, and chances are that his teacher will be there when the group meets up with the white lotus society. Besides the society will easily identify the avatar who will be with Sokka and Zuko when they all meet, so even that tile won't matter either.

But when ancient societies are concerned they usually stick fast to their traditions with out ecceptions. I mean how else would they stay secret?
