Okay, I've been feeling very humble lately. I knew my situation wasn't the best, with the eviction and everything, but things are starting to look up for my family and I. I realized yesterday how lucky my family is, having a roof above our heads and plenty of food to eat. Yesterday, in Winsor, Colorado a tornado completely demolished most of the town. The tornado was at least a mile wide and it brought so much destruction to this town. Luckily, the majority of people made it out ok and there were few (if any) deaths. People were able to seek safety in time. That didn't stop the tornado from obilerating everyone's homes and possessions. Its heartbreaking really The townspeople are all joining together and looking out for one another. It shows how crisis can bring people together and how the people are thankful that their lives weren't taken instead. They were thankful for the nonmaterial things in life. So, this inspired me to speak out about what I'm truely thankful for. My mom and dad, who have tried their best to get our family back on its own two feet. My sister, who was a constant support and someone I could vent to since she was going through the same thing. My aunt, for providing us a home these past two months. My family in general for all of the love they give me. So, the purpose of this thread is to share what you are thankful for, and enjoy a big piece of humble pie. (Look in the news if you want to know more about the Winsor thing..)
