out of congress only 3 supported gay marriage rights out of 435

Eh, I voted yes, they should be able to, because even though with my religion, I don't believe in it, it still should be accepted and allowed.

Gay marriage is strongly opposed in congress because the constitution was founded on christian[correct me if I'm wrong] ideals and the church does not support same sex marriage. The United States is very traditional when it comes to this area (versus the progressives) and people still cling to the heterosexual marriages. Now, I pretty sure thats it is legal in some states, but legal doesn't always mean socially accepted.  Now, I don't know the probability of it becoming legal throughout the U.S. but I don't think it will happen for many years. |
