But no one believes their evil. Every nations thinks their on the right side, every army beleives its cause is just. Most of the Fire nation truely beleave that they are sharing their wealth and betterness with the world. Its the same kind of imperialistic attitude that lead to so much colinazation first by the British then by the US. It's no cowinsidense (sp?) that, although the Fire Nation is obviously modeled after Japan in it's shape, it is located in the west.

But no one believes their evil. Every nations thinks their on the right side, every army believes its cause is just. Most of the Fire nation truly believes that they are sharing their wealth ... with the world. Its the same kind of imperialistic attitude that lead to so much colonization first by the British then by the US. It's no coincidence (sp?) that, although the Fire Nation is obviously modeled after Japan in it's shape, it is located in the west. thank goodness i corrected the heinous spelling and I must point out that betterness is not a word.... I also would like to ask for any major (or lesser) places the U.S. has colonized. and sharing of wealth has NOTHING whatsoever to do with colonization... It's no coincidence (sp?) that, although the Fire Nation is obviously modeled after Japan in it's shape, it is located in the west. plz elaborate on this topic as it is confusing and i fail to see your point besides the whole WWII analogy. the "in the west part" especially The internet is a giant reference book. In which you can find things instantaneously. so figure it out =P. trust me it's not that hard.... and i hate it when people say that. it sounds really stupid in my opinion. I mean wtf is that supposed to mean??? <_< Is it a statement designed to waste space on forums?

No, everyone has their own definition of good. Some are more strict then others, while some are more leanent. I was wondering which definition spicifically we are talking about for the avatar world.
And as for the west, um HELLO? The US much? Both The United States and much of Europe has historically thought itself better than the rest of the world. We were "sharing our wealth" with China, Japan and many other nations we considered to be "less civilized." We forced many countries to trade with us, dictating the terms, and took over many other countries like India because we could and we wanted their resources. There is an obvious parallel between "The West's" attitude of imperialism and the Fire Nation, the west being most of western civilization.
And yes, I do not spell well. If you wish to correct me go right a head, but please don't be such a jerk about it. It's something i continue to work on so please be somewhat considerate.

How about when China fought and lost to gain its independance than the US made the "compromise" so that everyone (all the western nations) could equally trade and dominate the nation. Or when they tried to stop the selling of Opium (a highly addictive narcotic) and the British stopped them beccause they were profitting off the society distrowing drug. Or India, it was intirely ruled by the British empire, and its native peoples were made secound class citizens. Or Ireland, how it was ruled and part of it is still ruled by the British. Or the countless colonies in Africa, where the different nations set up their claims to the natural resources regarless of the people who were ALREADY living there. Do you want more?
